I was a little bit bored today and couldn't go outdoors so I date coded all of my lenses and found I was quite surprised at the age of some (1988) for my Nifty.

But for the life of me I just cannot find out how to age my 5d mk3.
Do any of you guys know if this is possible?

My jupiter-3 and -12 lens has year coded in SN. Direct two digits. Low fifties.

My NF should be as old as yours, first version, came with L like grey pouch.

To find date of a lens is not too hard.
There is a code stamped on the lens, there are two types and you just need the info from that and the chart to decode from.

This web page is very helpful and will explain it better than I can.
