Hello, for the life of me, I cannot find a way to turn off High speed printing. Either though the epson utility/setup or lightroom.
anyone else figure this out ?

And I am wondering about the "bottom edge quality priority" - yet another mystery!

thanks,
Bryan

The high-speed printing option can be disabled on a Mac by simply unchecking that option in the Print dialog. This leads me to believe that ou are printing on a Windows machine - in that case, there appears to be no explicit "high-speed printing" check box on the Main print dialog window - the print quality is controlled in the Main Tab of the print dialog by the "Level" > Quality Options drop down.

Here you can specify high-speed (bi-directional) printing or another quality option.

The bottom edge priority mode appears to be a very specific option for prints that have problems with uniform coverage at the very bottom edge. The print time under this specific setting will be slower, but there are probably better print quality settings that will affect the entire print quality.

See:

https://files.support.epson.com/docid/cpd5/cpd58636.pdf (external link)

pg 141 discusses a fix for high-speed printing being disabled - this is the opposite of what you want, but the solution is the same - it is a choice in the Quality Options menu.

p. 70 gives an overview of the Level > Quality Options section of the Main tab in the Print dialog.

Probably a good idea to read the manual when trying to get optimal prints out of such an expensive and capable printing.
