I just got back from a cruise with about 800 photos. I forgot to change the cameras date/time to local, so all the photos are off by 7 hours. I know my day-to-day itinerary, so if the metadata is corrected, it will be easier for me to sort the photos to the proper locations. Yes, I can do it in my head, but I would like to know if there is a way to change all the metadata as a batch.

Thanks

Have not used this ... but it may work, though I think it's command line program.

Go to link then click on right side of page Date/Time Shift

Do you use Lightroom? If so, there has been a option to change capture times in it for a long time.

Thanks: I'll take a look at that program. And yes, I have a weather page through Dreamhost, and it took a while before I could get it working again after they (mistakenly) chucked me out!

Try this. It is a free ware. I have used it in a scenario similar to yours. The time difference in my case was +9½ hours. Lightroom did not have the ½ hour mark. Only complete hours. So I resorted to this. Works like a charm.

On the lower side you have options to change time stamps. On clicking "Change File Timestamps a window opens up

This is the window where you change time stamps. Delta is where you enters time in Days, Hours, Minutes, Seconds. Click Negative if you need to go back in time . Leave blank to add. And after doing that you click on OK button and then the Rename button on the main screen.

Very easy to use and a very useful utility I use often for renaming files too.

You should have Bridge then where you can change the time in the exif settings.
