Digital Speed Challenge #765: Holidays in the sun!

Let's see your photos from your holidays under the sun, present or past!

This challenge begins when posted and ends at midnight GMT on 10 July 2023. Winner of this challenge will be announced shortly thereafter.

The Challenge Rules:

1. Camera: Any DIGITAL CAMERA is allowed.
2. Time: Any on-topic photo taken at any time is eligible, although photos that have won other competitions should NOT be entered.
3. Size: Please visit Image Posting Rules.
4. Post Processing: Do whatever you like, and the host will decide if it works.
5. Posting: ONE PHOTO per photographer per challenge. List camera model & lens used. Post brief EXIF data: ISO, shutter speed and aperture.
6. Commenting: No commenting during challenge. When the posting is closed and a winner declared, comments can be made in this thread.
7. Keep it clean, and both Family and Work safe.
8. Have questions, PM me.
9. Have lots of FUN!

July 4 Holiday, Hot as hell, I went to the mountains to enjoy a cool dip in the lake............... Not Happening Here!

Not many entries this time, seems we all need some holidays soon..!!

TerryPink - With the heatwave coming we must be looking for some cool mountains, no snow though now, maybe in the Alps?
OldCrow - A very dramatic scenery of the hot desert, seems like the desperados are ready to show up.
RDWP - A northern place that has also its hot and deserted corners, I like the contrast sand and northern trees.
Dilorenzo - A very nice seascape, looks like it's cool and fresh in a tropical place.

Very interesting photos, all are very pleasant and I think I will give it to OldCrow's Western movie scenery under the heat

Congrats Don. MY PEI selection was inspired by the red sand/earth/rocks in your pic. The colours matched!
