Not sure if these are compatible with my Canon model.
Anyone ever tried to connect a Canon EOS 100D to something similar?
I will be needing something like that for video recording and was wondering whether it will work at all:

No idea. I’ve never used a 100D (Rebel SL1 to Americans), and I don’t shoot video.

I took a quick look at the 100D manual, and the camera has a mini HDMI port, but I only saw mentions of using it for playing back video in the manual. It didn’t say that it can be used for monitoring video while it’s being taken, but you can test it. Get a cable and connect the camera to an HDMI port on your television or a computer monitor. If it can send the video stream to that while you’re recording with the camera, then it *should* work with the monitor in your Amazon link. No guarantees, of course, but if you *can’t* send it to your TV, then you probably won’t be able to send it to the monitor.

There may be menus on the camera to allow you to set the properties of the HDMI output (resolution, “clean” or with information display, etc.). I didn’t see any menu descriptions in the manual I looked at, other than custom functions, so I don’t know.

Worst case, you’ve bought a cable that you won’t use again, and you’ve learned something.

Hope that helps!

Canon EOS R7, M5, 100 (film), and Sony α6400
I have an orange cat and a brown cat. In HSL, they're both orange.

I never tried the specific combination you mention, but I routinely connect several Canon cameras to my PC using the EOS utility and it streams video just fine as well as allow me full control of the camera remotely. I'm speculating that the mechanisms are the same so there is a high probability that it would work but to find out for certain, you'll have to try it I think.

Thanks, you are right. It looks like most people here are not familiar with SL1/EOS 100D, so there's only one way for me to find out.

I don't think it's the SL1, that's just another Canon camera but the Viltorx. I'm guessing not many have used it

As I mentioned, I tether to a laptop often without issue on many different Canon cameras but never ised the Viltorx.
