Looking for a Strobe fix for Canon SL3

I’m looking to get into studio pet photography and have been researching strobe lights. Seeing as the SL3 is missing the middle pin on the shoe, it has been difficult finding a fix that would work. I have found a few posts stating that you could use a godox x2t-c and then use a godox strobe. Or use that same trigger and mount another trigger on top for another brand of strobe. Has anyone found a reliable, working way to fix this issue with SL3?

It is said that all Canon ETTL-comptible flashes will work with the Canon SL3...so hypothetically that compatability should be true of non-Canon ETTL flash units also. But apparently this is not always true. If the flash manufacturer claims 'compatible with SL3' it is more likely to work fine, and if explicity compatability is not claimed, it is questionable.
