I have made my decision, so up FOR SALE is my "basically new" condition Canon RF 100-500mm F4.5-7.1 L IS USM lens.
About this lens: I am the one and only owner, having purchased it new from an authorized dealer in July of 2022, but have only used it very sparingly since. It has never been out in inclement weather and has never been dropped or abused. I would say it is about as close to new as a lens could be that has been taken out of the box and actually used to take some pictures...probably a 9.5 out of 10 at least.
It has realistically only been used maybe a dozen-and-a-half times or so, and has always worked great for me. The focus has been fast and accurate on my R6 II as well as the R6 I had before it. I never use the original Canon cases, and also I never used the white Canon lens hood, either (I prefer a black one and have just been using an aftermarket JJC one instead). The tripod ring has always been on the lens, but I never mounted on anything, just used it as a handle and a brace point for my left hand. Overall, I would say anyone would be hard-pressed to tell this one apart from a "new" one as there aren't any marks, scratches or internal dust that I can see. (Of course, since it has been used, I may have missed something, but if so it would have to be minor.)
Not sure what else to say about it, other than it includes the box, with papers / packaging, and all original accessories, plus the additional black lens hood. (The only thing to note is I put a silver reference mark on the rear cap to help installing it easier.) It really is a great lens as many can attest. Before this, I used the EF 100-400mm II and while that lens was great, this one is much nicer to use with the added reach and lower weight and lack of adapter ring. I bought it primarily to take photos / videos of kids sports, but it really is more than I need, so it has mostly just stayed at home.
My asking price is a fairly firm $2375 US, all in to me. I will cover basic insured ground shipping (verified, USA-only to established members), but if faster is required, that would be a additional cost to the buyer. I will accept PayPal F&F or Zelle for payment, since buying and selling is not a business for me. (I have been buying and selling online for a long time, all with stellar feedback (on here as well as FM, eBay, and other sites like WatchUSeek, so you can have confidence in me.)
