thick cloud cover where I live - 29th and 30th :-(

Might try for the moonset on 31st. Fingers crossed.

Here's what it looked like from Brisbane on Thurs 31st August 2023.

I pumped up the Colour Saturation on #2 to reveal the regions rich in certain minerals, Iron and Titanium I think.

30 Frames stacked, with the camera/lens mounted on my tracking mount.

I found out last night you really do need something longer that a 70-200 even with a 1.4 extender on to get good shots of the moon, some of the posts on here are excellent

Thanks, it really helps to have a tracking mount which keeps the Moon fixed and centred in the frame, so you can take your time to get the settings and focus correct without having to chase the Moon across the skies.
