Deleted by a mod or by A and B?

By a mod.
There were no warnings. The dialog just quietly disappeared.

The mod apparently did not see value in the dialog regarding the photo, so the dialog got thrown out...big fish in small pond feeling self-important, I surmise. I saw the dialog before was eliminated, and it was related here correctly, and there was no vulgarity or uncivility in the exchange.

No, it was a friendly exchange.

I also thought it would be educative too, for fixing distortions but it looks god did not approve it...

Some simple photos

I'm not asking with the aim of finding out who, but maybe a PM to either A or B would reveal something.
Maybe a mod removed comments and notified A and or B, and requested that type of talk could be done via PM.

In my fairly brief look around Cameraderie today I did notice a user with a large bold comment in signature:

OK to Comment on my Photos (A long time member)

No, neither A or B received a pm from a mod. They just happened to notice that the comments were gone.

Interesting. Oh well, no serious injuries.
Personally, I'd just give it some time. See if it's a common thing.
Or try a polite enquiry (via PM)..

Rule 12: If you object to a moderator action send a private message to an administrator or the site owner. Do not post your objection in the forum.

Note that it does not say "feel free to rip administrator a new one".

I think I could manage to draft an enquiry regarding this issue without causing offense.
Mentioning that you have read the rules and:
1/ Could not find a reason for the removal of comments
2/ Read rule 11 and understand that you agreed to the site terms
3/ Read rule 12 and while you don't object, you are curious

OK, Cameraderie:
I found Terms and Rules.
I found out who runs Bartertown, but I already knew that.
No nudity, or even partial nudity. There go a bunch of POTN members.

I can't find max image dimensions.

Anybody?

Don't be put off by Cameraderie's T&C, they are not strictly applied

Re "No nudity, or even partial nudity. There go a bunch of POTN members." :
That's a tiny proportion of the POTN memebership

I do plan to just lurk, or participate in a gentle manner and not react to anything I don't like.
I have already seen some off topic banter in image galleries. Maybe not off topic, but the type of talk that could be assumed to be against the rules.

Regarding nudity, ie members we may lose, everyone matters, to me.
Losing G&N does not bother me, I have more often found myself in G&N when I see a familiar name in 'New Posts'.

It's clear many people are saddened by the impending POTN shut down and wish to maintain connections to other members.
I feel for those who face bigger challenges in finding a new home.

What I see as the great morals applied at POTN, is something I really like, even though that does mean I don't like everything that is allowed to be posted. (Not referring to G&N there).

Don't waste your time. It's not uncommon. I've read about it happening on a few other forums, members being banned with no explanation, myself included. Bit of a weird mob.

I'm not planning on doing anything, just suggesting possible action if someone wanted to do something.

For the umpteenth time I will say: We have been spoiled here.

No, no serious injuries and nobody said anything on the forum.

But they weren’t kidding when they said comments on an image have to be positive. A pity, because as InPhoto said, cc can be educational as it’s from mistakes that we learn the most.

I saw the big red It’s okay to comment… I might put something similar in my sig.

About how we learn from mistakes, from failure? Ed Sheeran said it very well on the Howard Stern show, worth listening to imo. Skip to 1.40 (but it’s all worth listening to - he was not always a good singer…).
