Of all the words to cut off, "FOTOGRAPHY" is chopped off in the lower left corner.

Ack! I totally missed that!

Anybody know why the words are backwards? I did wonder about it.

I think they represent typesetting. If you inked them up and pressed a piece of paper to them, it would make sense.

"the stunningly beautiful Floor of Babble: hardwood by artist Ann Hamilton of raised, backward letters in foreign languages that record the first lines of the library's foreign-book collection. Patrons will walk on a woodcut of what seems like a Gutenberg press. "

From this site:

Did you photograph the building? It looks like it could be a day-long adventure itself.

That's as good an explanation as any.

it's something 'con firmeza el tripode de su camara fotogr(aph/aphy/apher/, whatever)'
something with firmness the tripod of the camera photography - or something like that...

a great shot, regardless...

Very nice capture! I like the movement blur of the person against the static floor. Lovely detail in the bas relief of the floor, it must provide great traction :)

What a cool shot. It could almost be a political statement.

You should be a private investigator!

vcutag, great shot. I like the motion blur too, great composition and a lot to study in the shot.
