Mount Mansfield

From nearly the same spot as my 2 sunset submissions, but looking east about 15 minutes prior to sunset. Steep hill out-of-focus twigs are actually tops of trees so I could not move/remove them, crop them and the radar dome out?...

That's a nice little hill! I think I would have increased the saturation a little...

Did I change the mood too much? Sorry! Couldn't live with the radome and the branches...

That's wonderful! PP is my greatest downfall. Perhaps it is because of my lack of experience, also I do not have the latest tools. I currently have only PS 7 with no plugins ans PSP8. Could some put me on the right path to a list of software that I should be using? btw, I have a small flock of geese that would really go nicely over this imgae, now that the trees are gone

I am still sort of stuck in a place where if it was captured by the lens it should be in the image, where the hell that came from I do not know...Thank you all for the comments. I have plenty more to read and even more to practice!

Well, I don't know how great my edit is: You can still see mottling of cloud shadows and leftover twig (I hurried!), but it's acceptable for a 5min job. Thanks!

I think you should upgrade to PSCS2 for $169US. I just did that with a Photoshop 5.5 license code for MacOS 8/9 from several years ago. If you goto the Adobe store you can do that, as long as you have a valid license code for your PS7. I didn't use any plugins for that picture, but I have NeatImage Pro, which works well for noise reduction; Kodak ROC Pro for color correction; FocusMagic, which I'm still undecided about; and Genuine Fractals, which lets you enlarge a pic with less artifacts than PS alone. I think a modern version of Photoshop should be your first purchase for PP, though PS7 is still quite capable!
