On my way to work this morning, I stumbled upon young neighbor’s family having some quality time together.
I couldn’t resist the Call of Nature: went back to my apartment, grabbed my camera and snapped couple of quick shots.
I was late for work but the thin slice of Time-Space continuum was saved from its fall to Eternity.

Here they are:

As much as I like these photos, I have a feeling that I’m doing something wrong!
Skin tones probably, local sharpening definitely..
Anything else?

Your thoughts, critiques, suggestions, modifications please!

Those eyes, wonderful.

Bless the recently fallen and their family and friends.

Exactly!

If you look carefully you can clearly see the initial welcome in her eyes, quickly replaced by slight hesitation, and finally, a crack of a smile as a token of acceptance..

They are all nice captures.

The only thing I see is something you really couldn't control in a candid, the clashing outfits. The orange and pink are fighting for attention away from the beautiful baby and mother. Maybe B+W or selective color replacement would help. I like the second and forth pics. In the first picture, the toddler in the background gives it a photojournalistic feel.

In the last shot, the family composition is excellent, but there are distractions in the background.

I didn’t have much time for composition.
The first shot was taken at 12:39:36 PM, the last at 12:40:06 PM.

And the guy had to exit the elevator right at that instant!

All taken with dRebel XT, 24-70 L, 580EX, Manual, f/5.6, 1/125..

Lovely shots of a beautiful family and little girl. There really is nothing like looking into the eyes of a little child.
