any P.Fn 21 disadvantages?

Any disadvantages to P.Fn 21? ( quite mode shutter function).

What are the advantages? Other than it being quiter?

Any comments or advice would be appreciated.

I leave it on all the time, and switch between 'Quiet' and 'fast' by switching from single to highspeed transport.
