I pass this old farm house everyday, and have always wanted to photograph it. Finally I got around to shooting it.

Very interesting shot, but I have to ask is that a house or a barn or a combination of both, hard to tell from the photo, Nicely done.

Yeah I have a few shots of this house, but the tree is right in front of the house and there is no getting around it. I couldnt get behind it either, as it would be trespassing, so had to take what I could. Personally I love the tree in the shot.

Sandy, it is a house... well, it was a house.. the farm that it is on, has a new house as well, but they have left this old one there.

Thanks, it's just that the right hand side of the house had the look that it could have been a barn..

It is quite common for a family to recycle "the old home place" into a barn when they have been able to build new. At least its something you see regularly in the part of the country I grew up in. Hay and feed sometimes is stored inside and you often find storage for farm implements and equipment, cattle pens and chutes attached. I'm noticing a lot the same here in the midwest.
Hoping to get out and shoot some of the ones I discovered last weekend while being lost.:D The old rock ones around here are fantastic.
Sandi, great photo 'cept it makes me a little homesick. Had some mighty nice times in our homestead turned barn.

Interesting picture...do you know how long it has been since it was used?

Was it actually a house or a barn of some sort?
