The old Confederate Soldier's Home (external link), now on the Virginia Museum of Fine Arts grounds. It was originally built in the 1880s, when the Fan District was the outer suburbs of Richmond, as a rest home for Confederate veterans. The Museum is currently adding a huge parking deck and expansion, so the entire area is behind fences and barbed wire.
