Challenge #13 - Flowers

I have chosen flowers to be the subject this week. With emphasis on exposure, lighting and composition. I would like to see the deep rich colors of your flowers that the correct exposure will bring out.

Also,
although not in the rules, I would prefer (but not mandatory) that your entry will be from a shot taken this week. Go out on a mission just for this challenge. Find a suitable flower or flowers and shoot different angles and maybe try a number of different settings to see what results each setting produces. Try to fill the frame with your flowers so you can make big prints of your winning entry! :D

Please include with your entry:

Camera model
Shooting mode
F number
Shutter speed
Date
How much cropping if any

Thanks, have fun and good luck!

_______________

To submit, click "Post Reply" and put your Photo Name in the Subject Line. Don't forget your Camera Model.

Here's an old pic of mine, just to liven the competition up a bit:
I have no idea what kind of flower it is, taken last July in Colorado. Taken with my old A400: f/3.8, 1/160s.

Sunburst

A bit of a twist on the theme;

IMAGE: http://static.flickr.com/41/125334455_b271d285a2_o.jpg

Exif: 1/13s; F/3.2; 55mm Equiv; ISO 50
Other - about 1/4 - 1/5 of the picture cropped from the right to give a more central subject.
Taken: April 8th 2006 at 7:54pm
Mode: Either Av or M, I forget which.
Lighting provided by a table lamp held horizontally just out of shot :)
PP: Converted to B&W using gradient map, and then curves toyed with to emphasise the contrast of the subject and background.
