Eos 1Ds focusing broblem.

My couple friends are pro schoolphotographers. They are working Eos 1Ds bodies. Now they are noties that one or two bodies make partly blurry files. Example left side of the file can be blurry and rest of the file are good and sharp. CMOS chip and lens isnt the right positions. Canon Service Center can fix the problem but wher is quality control Canon?
