2nd studio shoot

This is my second shoot in the studio.... i think i finaly have it dont pat a little!

Can you try a shot from a higher view point. With your lens and the angle it makes the model out of proportion eg small head.

Lighting good but left eye in need of catch light as you have done in right eye.

The boot parts are anoying

How many lights do you have access to? And how many have you used in these shots? You could have done so much yet you have shown none ...

Avoid 3/4 length shots for a portrait, either head, head/shoulders, half length or full length, unless it's for a fashion product where you'll need the length to compliment products.

Make use of shadows to compensate or compliment your subject, a great photo consists beautiful combination of highlight, midtone and shadow.

in talking about shadows... would one put them down one side of her body? or shadows on her face?

Hi Ben,

In my opinion, the mixture should be a combination of both which would compliment her best features, which would differ from yours, costume and makeup are very important, too. I have done some portrait in the past but I don't think I have enough studio experience to explain exactly how and what, but I'll pass on details of my mate, he specialises in fashion/glamour, hopefully he'll give you some tips.
