Sad, but intriguing!

Very interesting effect. Very interesting composition. Most important effect for me is that the reflections are like an oil painting. There are really two different pictures here. Let me show you the other one!

Robert, the flipped re-cropped version you made reminds me of an impressionist painting.
I forgot to mention I dodged and burned the reflected parts after boosting the saturation.
