If it wasn't intentional, I share this difficulty. It it was, I still like the effect. With that much focal length even F10 is hard for me to keep it all sharp. I'm curious to know if you and others have any thoughts about improving shots like this in that circumstance.

It was intentional..I think that or you shoot at f22/f32 but you lose quality due to rifraction or you can shot different picture and stich them..there are some programs that do that (if you look in the macro part of the forum there are some people using this tecnique)

Actually they are not stiched, they are stacked. The same pics with a bit of a difference in focal point are stacked ontop of each other. Very cool and effective and next on my list of things to learn :D .

Nice daisy pic. Lovely colors. Did you try f16?
