A new freeware must-have for me, though sadly Windows only - the masking plug-in GrowCut (external link).

See here for more details.

Here are the ones that I use and where necessary have bought. Some of them have been mentioned above but I have them in another post and it was just as easy to copy them all. Some of them are standalone's so they really don't count as plugin's perse.

Digital Film Tools (external link) plugins 55mm (external link) and Digital Film Lab2 (external link)
ActionDex (external link) This is a small standalone application that helps manage photoshop actions. If you have lots of actions, give this a look.
Breeze Systems (external link) products Breezebrowser Pro (external link), Downloader Pro (external link) and DSLR Remote Pro (external link)

DxO (external link) Lens distortion correction
Neat Image Pro+ (external link) Noise Management Software
Nik (external link) Color Effex Pro (external link)Photoshop filters....lots of them
On One Software (external link) This comes with the products Intellihance, MaskPro, Genuine Fractals and PhotoFrame Pro. I could have lived without the framing tool but it came with the suite.
Phase One C1 ProThis is my preferred RAW Converter.
Photomatix Pro (external link)
ProShow Producer (external link)Image to video production software
Raw Shooter PremiumThis is a decent RAW converter but is now owned by Adobe and no longer on sale but previous releases are still being supported.
Total CommanderIf you like a double paned file manager, you’ll love this one. It has a plethora of other functions and I use it for batch file renaming a lot.

My life is like one big RAW file....way too much post processing needed.

Proxel's "The Lens Corrector". It is similar to PTLens, if you know what that is. There is also a Lens profile creator that is stand alone. It might be something you need, or you might just like to have a look see. Here is a blurb from their page:

With this tool you can improve the pictures from any digital camera or camera/lens combination you own. Removing distortion and converting fish eye pictures into rectilinear pictures, with a quality of much more expensive lenses. The main advantages are:

* No loss of quality due to rescaling – the canvas size is changed instead.
* You can correct any camera/lens you own – no restrictions.
* The correction is based upon measurements – no imprecise manual tweaking.
* You can correct distorted fish eye lenses – resulting in outstanding results.

The advantage of this over PTLens is that this will increase the canvas size accordingly, and crop the image (PTLens won't do either). Also, with the included program, you can set your own profiles for your lenses. PTLens has some default profiles, but not for all lenses, and all lenses are not the same.

You don't take a photograph. You ask, quietly, to borrow it.
