Abondoned war trenches in South Korea

Interesting subject matter but I often wonder how I can capture it better. I hate to leave without really documenting them well. Here are three shots that I would like to hear some critique on. No really.

In addition I would love to hear any creative or interesting ideas of how I might drive these images home a little better.

The first pic looks better cropped -crop the sky and trees. The second one... nevermind.
The last one would be better in b/w..

Agreed on the first one. It may make a nice 8x10. Cutting the sky out makes it look as though you are looking down into the bunker. Very interesting, thanks.

I like the first one, but agree it should be cropped.

I had a play with it.

Cropped.
Ran it through my velvia script (2/5/11) to give it more range and color.
Add contrast via usm.
Sharpened slightly.
Framed it.

Amazing photos. An aspect of the Korean conflict that I've never seen before.
