Tennis is a hard sport for me to photograph because I just can't tell where they're going to move...left, right, forwards, backwards, and all this while trying to shoot tight. These are a few of the shots from my first attempt.

#2 is just great how you captured that intense look at the ball... just to bad it cut her face off a bit.
Good job.

Thanks Rich. Only a split second later probably would have made it much better, but what can you do? :)

I know... that's still a really nice shot either way.
Don't take comments on the "perfect world" the wrong way. ;)

Good series. All shots from the front to easily identify the player, racket and ball to identilfy the sport and action/intensity to boot. It's all there. Nicely done.

Well executed chris.... the 2nd shot kinda freaks me out.... I think its because it looks like she is looking past the ball right at me. Yikes. But anyway, well done.

Nice job, Chris. Especially for a first attempt at tennis. I totally agree with Bryan's comments.

Good job Chris!

You captured the game very well. I'm so impressed with your range of attempts and successes with all of these different sports.

Keep up the great work!

Thanks Bryan. I appreciate you noticing. Sometimes it's hard to get in front of the athletes because of all the rules that you have to follow when not standing behind a fence. Getting the eyes is usually my #1 priority.

Ha. Thanks Mark. I'm sorry it freaks you out. Her eye shadow is pretty intense. :)

Thanks a ton. I'm really starting to love sports photography. The games are super entertaining and there's never a shortage of things to shoot. Also, the athletes really appreciate seeing photos of themselves.

Thank you. She is one of the more talented players on the women's tennis team.
