A coople from the recent air show in Sacramento. Crappy weather all month but the two days of the show were nice enough to be sunny and clear. Now we are back to rain and news about levee breaks.

Thanks

Yeah it was at Mather which is pretty near where I live. The first one was taken standing on my driveway! The second shot was taken at teh show the next day.

I used to live in a Sac, and for a time near 50 and Bradshaw. I'd often go to the west end of the base and watch the jets take off. It was always interesting to watch the big bombers do touch-and-go's.

All you'll see nowadays is jets from Fedex, UPS and the like. Mather and McClellan are both long decomissioned although McClellan has an excellent museum. Nearest place for cool planes is Beale where you get to see U2s and if you are lucky a Global Hawk.

Thanks, yeah the weather was a miracle. We've had major storms this spring so I'm kind of used to the gray skies. That weekend though, to the huge relief of the organizers no doubt, the weather cleared. Now we are back to news about Delta Levees breaking, and more wet storms still to hit. Fun and games. :)
