Corn beef hash with one egg over-medium on top. Served with grilled potatoes...it was just yummy. I should have asked for a kid's portion, though.... half of it went back to the kitchen.

Skip cleaned his platter, eggplant omlet (just egg whites) potatoes and a homemade bisquit.

Life is hard...but I just take it one photograph at a time.

Just a technical question: I thought polarizers only reduced NON-METALLIC glare. In which case, they would be useless on a CHROME DOME?

Looks like you all had a blast. Nice to see Skip is looking good! Dante, you are a long way from where I live but I promise, I will visit Bubba's someday!

When all you foreigners come to visit, let us know. We are only 4 1/2 hours away and we'll come dine with you.

After leaving Dante, a bunch of us drove down into San Fran (35 minutes south) and walked around, visited the sea lions and had drinks and a light dinner out over looking the water. We'd love to do it again with as many of you as possible.

I went back there the next day and also spent some time in the tourist trap souvenir shops across the street. Every third shop is a camera store, and what an incredible selection of junk they all have! One had a Rebel X in the window with a big yellow starburst sign on it that read "Latest Model!" I think that was supposed to say "This is the latest model we carry in this store".

Another store had a big white lens in the window, so of course I had to check that out. According to the text on the lens barrel, it was an EOS mount Kalimar 800-1200mm f/9.9-14.9. (What's up with those aperture values?) I was laughing too much to ask how much they wanted for it...

Anyway, I'm home now. I just got in a little less than two hours ago. The pictures from the trip have been copied to four separate hard drives, so now it's time to get to work on 'em!

At least Dante posts a warning sign
Actually the food is fantastic. For breakfast I had the Spicy Thai Eggplant omelet (egg whites only). It was remarkable and the diner seams to be doing a land office business with patrons standing in line for a table.

I'm going to Michigan for the week of the 4th, but I will be home the weekend after. If the timing works out, I may pop over and look you up! I used to live in Rye and its one of my favorite places to visit.
