Thanks jbkalla. I wish it was the L, not just the humble 85 1.8 (fantastic lens btw) with extension tubes...

The "09" is out of focus or blurry, which i'm finding distracting. It's not nice bokeh, it doesn't look quite right to me... not sure why.

The 09 is supposed to be OOF. Only the brand name is supposed to be in focus. That's the best I could do given the angle the watch is at and the fact I wasn't using TS lens. Personally I like the bokeh, gives the image a bit of edginess (if there is such a word)...

Sorry, I dont like it. It seems too manufactured to me. How much PP went on with it? I can see what you're trying to achieve with the logo, but maybe it's just a little too 'obvious', if you follow me?

I think its an excellent demo of the lens. It shows you can use bokeh to your advantage.

Theres nothing wrong with the image, but I struggle to see what it would be used for.

Actually, there's no photoshop in this at all, straight from camera to RAW converter, even the resizing was done as part of the conversion...

I must admit the CA did bother me to begin with, but I liked the image overall so got over the CA. I actually like the bokeh, particularily since it was my intention to achieve the image the way it is...

Thanks jj1987. I didn't take the image with a particular 'use' in mind, but I would think that it could be used in an add, probably in a 'left-of-centre' fashion magazine, maybe for an add for a new release where they wouldn't want to make the design too obvious, but rather just give a hint, or an add for the brand to associate the name with watches rather then add for 'a' watch - I don't know, like I said I didn't have a particular use in mind - just pictured this in my mind and made it happen...

Wow, then it that case you have HUGE talent! Well done! But I do stand by and say it looks a little too... well, I dont know the word, but I think it would look a little better if the gradiant between the focussed part and the OOF part was less.

As a commerical product shot this will never fly, because of the bad case of CA. I don't see other use for an image of such. The shot will probably work better in B&W this way everything is in greyscale, and the red and green CA won't be so distracting.

Something about the 09 on the date being OOF bothers me, I can't put my finger on it.
I too find the CA too distracting, I'd recommend removing it in PP is possible.
