Had a brief walk around the West side of Shinjuku today. Fortunately I had my camera with me (unfortunately I'm not so happy with these shots). I'd love to hear what you think!

I think there is a bit more to Shinjuku than what your photos show. :)

BTW is the Canon showroom/gallery still there? I forget the building name, but it was not far from the Shinjuku Hilton.

i like the first 2 especially as the composition frames the 'lines' very nicely. :D

Thanks. I'm not happy with it though - I need more practice with the bw conversion I think. The composition of all of them doesn't satisfy me.

The best part of Shinjuku has got to be the Mapcamera stores..

Seriously, there is a lot of subject matter in Shinjuku, I go there 3-4 times a year, but have only been there once since I got into digital.

Have you seen this -

It's in between the Hilton and Shinjuku station...

I really like photo #2 with the reflections in the windows. Great photo and composition.

#2 is great, composition is good. #3 I'd actually like better if the man wasn't in it. #1 I'd like better if you had taken a few steps to the left so the arrow was center. You still would have gotten the lines in the back as well.

Thanks all. Actually I think the man in #3 makes the shot, but I can appreciate your point. Yeah I took some photos of the 'LOVE' sculpture, but they weren't great (I was rushing to get to the government building before I lost the light!)

Thanks for your comments, I may go back sometime and re-take some of the shots I have.

I like the man in the photo. It makes the photo unique, otherwise it's just a regular building photo.

I like the first two pics a lot. Very cool. The third one - I just can't help but wish it had been snapped two seconds before catching him in the beam of light.

Ya I agree that would have been awsome!
