Personally I would clone out the aerial.

I agree. I think it just detracts from the overall picture.

Didn't even see the aerial. All that I could see was the dirt-line on the windshield from the edge of the wiper path.

Granted THIS is a photographer's choice, but could we do without the fragrance tree hanging from the mirror?

Other that that, exposure is spot on. Nothing blown, but still has shadow detail. Well done there.

I'd go further and say the smelly thing hanging from the mirror needs to go too, as does the scum from using the window wipers which is visible on the drivers side. The shadows look too dark underneath the car and there's also no detail in the dark areas of the grill and the skirt. There's a white mark on the edge of the drivers door and I think I would be tempted to calm down the highlights on the mirror and skirt.

I'm struggling to see how this isn't a snapshot. No polarizer= bad reflections and poor sky.

Luminous Landscape has one of the best descriptions of Snapshot I have read. Here it is. (external link)

i still dont see it...

in one persons eyes it could be a snapshot but in another persons it could be the best place to take a photo...

its completely impossible to name ANY image a snapshot... its all preference and it is way biased...

i dont see how this picture is a snapshot compared to any other car picture..

The definition on Luminous Landscape is quite good. If this was the result of a planned photo shoot of an automobile I would be disappointed. There just isn't any snap or interest to the image. This could be influenced by the fact that IMO the car is pretty run-of-the-mill in appearance. The post clean-up on the other hand is pretty good. And as mentioned, the exposure is right on.

There is just nothing that sets THIS car off from every other one. Turn the wheels, turn on the lights, blur the background with some motion blur.

I would have preferred to see more of the side of the car with the wheels turned. You can also make the horizon tilted to add dysequilibrium.
Kinda along this shot here.
