I find when I shoot a wide shot with a subject or subject in it they are not crisp and sharp...anyone else have this problem with the 28 1.8? Thanks...

Examples and/or settings used? Wide open it can be a little soft, especially around the edges, but certainly not bad enough that it's usually a major problem.

I always found my 28 1.8 to be sharper than expected. I'm wondering if sharpness depends on number of megapixels of the camera? I was using it on a 10mp XS. In the end I found I was only using 1 prime per outing, and the 50 1.4 beat it out.

Just got it, test shot wide open...focus was right around the nose I believe.

Gettin' back into the camera thing... and very much an amateur. Just picked up the 28mm 1.8 a couple days ago, and I'm having fun playing with it for sure on my T2i! For some reason I'm going through a B&W phase again.

a wedding of a cousin in law from a couple years ago. added a LR filter but didn't mess with sharpness.

I will be selling my 28 soon to fund my next piece of glass. If anyone is within the NY, CT & NJ area and wants to purchase an emaculate lens that includes a hood, filter, warranty and receipt from b&h shoot me a PM. You can see a bunch of my shots if you scroll through this thread.

Great lens she taught me a lot.

I will be putting up a for sale thread with pics soon.
