May 03, 2012 11:54 | #1472 Good to hear. The 2/3 stop loss hurts if this lens replaces my Sigma, but the AF reliability balances out the loss. I can deal with some CA but if its noticeable to an untrained eye, then I might be disappointed. I don't really have any other options though, since the L lens lose the portability factor. I mean, sure if you go looking for CA, you'll probably find it, but if you can't see it at print size, why look? -Abram-

I can't tell if this lens has better bokeh balls than the 50mm f/1.8 - can anyone attest that the bokeh looks better with this lens than the 50mm f/1.8's pentagon party? Thanks ![]() A lens' bokeh is a very subjective thing, far from a universal acceptance. I think honestly people get TOO hung up on how a lens renders OOF areas. I mean, don't get me wrong, I appreciate a smooth graduation from what's in focus to out of focus, but I've never set out to buy a lens because of how it renders bokeh. The internet has fueled this fire with fake words like "Bokehlicious" floating around and the obscene quantity of youtube videos trying to showcase a lens' bokeh abilities or "bokeh balls". -Abram-
