First attempt and new 17-40 f/4L

This was my frist attempt at the urban scene. I found some old warehouses around town and thought it would be fun to shoot them in black and white. I was happy with the results. Also this was my first time trying out the new lens! These are all straight out of the camera with no PP. CC welcome please! let me know if the lens seems like its a good copy.

Interesting pics! You have a good lens for urban photography. One thing though is that the pics lack a bit of pop. You mentioned that this had no PP, so I assume that these were shot using the B/W mode of the camera. Unfortunately, this method yields only fair results, it is best to shoot in RAW then convert it to black and white in PP, such as Channel Mixer.
Anyway, I'd like to see more of your shots, thanks for sharing!

I shot jpeg plus RAW so i do have the RAW files to play with as my photoshop skill improve. I'll play with them a bit and repost when i get a chance.
