If you cropped the guy on the right (who needs new shoes) it would create a situation where the object was the only one travelling into the frame, in opposition to everyone else, which may help the shot (however move the object into the centre of the frame which is a compositional no no). The girl is extremely dominate while by contrast the pants are OOF or obscure. You need to give better representation forthe viewer to compare .. i.e. next time shoot from the side so all parties are in focus and treated somewhat equally ... - Unsharp At Any Speed -

If I were to be shooting it over, I would try to get in a bit more of the walkway in the foreground in order to have a bit more foundation on which all of the people are standing - as it is, their feet are too close to the bottom of the frame. I can't put my finger on it, but I too think something is missing. Gallery: http://tomyi.smugmug.com/

Apr 13, 2006 00:23 | #7 thanks for all the tips guys! Seefutlong, I totally know what you mean. I first caught this girl standing on the curb next to a bunch of 'normally' dressed people waiting to cross the street. THAT was the shot that I wanted cuz I then they would've all been on the same focal plane. However, it was 1pm and it was busy downtown so I wasn't able to snap a decent picture w/o someone walking into the frame. I'm the best Paolo in the world - Paolo Gaspar
