Whomever has a 17-85mm lens, can you tell me if there is a click sound when you zoom from 17 to 24mm. I just bought this lens and I wanted to know if this is normal or is there a problem with mine.

The clicking indicates some internal problem, I would exchange it as its brand new. 5d, 20d, 24 105L, 200 f2.8L, 100 macro. 50 f1.4, 580/430ex. plus other bits & bobs.

My 15-30mm does that. Very faint. Works beautifully in all respects. Probably a bit of snot inside or something https://photography-on-the.net …/showthread.php?t=1203740
