My hybrid wolf, Buddy, was indoors for about an hour today, so I grabbed my 70-200mm f/2.8L (yes, I use this lens indoors) and fired a few shots. Mom then got the idea to put a cowboy hat on him, and after getting him to finally sit still, I was able to snap off this shot. He's so silly/cute.

He's a high content hybrid (wolf and malamute). He's very sweet, although rather shy. He loves to pose for me, so he's a great model ;)

I can't say I am "for" crossing these animals because of the amount of people who simply want a "badass" dog and don't know how to look after them....but that aside, he's a gorgeous boy and it's a gorgeous photo.

Yeah, I feel the same way, which is why I always explain to all my friends who think it's 'cool' to have a hybrid how much different work/care these animals need, and now they aren't like a normal dog. I researched them for a good 6 months to one year before deciding on one. They're wonderful companions in the right hands, however in the hands of someone who thinks it's just 'cool', well..the story doesn't always have a happy ending for the hybrid.

And thanks, yep he's gorgeous. He's got a floppy ear (hidden by his hat) which totally adds to his cuteness.

Yep, here are a few shot at the same time as the hat one. Nothing fancy, just little 'snapshots'.

He's great indoors, although with 1" claws like those, he really takes his toll on the hardwood floors when he runs. Luckily he hardly ever runs indoors. He just sits and does nothing, really.

He was eyeing my dad, who just walked into the room.

It's hard to tell, but he's larger than the little chair thing behind him. 120lbs of big, smell hybrid ;) He's harmless, except that he sheds on everything. He's also such a 'house wolf' that he never wants to get out when we let him in for short periods of time (he's an outdoor pet).

I need to get some full body shots of him too to share here

Gosh, certainly is a gorgeous dog/wolf. The floppy ear is very becoming on him :) He has a very mellow face.... a lot of the hybrids I've seen look more wolfy than doggie.

just out of curiosity, whats the little darker section along the left cm or so? looks like it was kind of darkened?

I've read messages on other forums about wolf mixes sometimes having rather peculiar eating habits, like a dislike for something that a normal dog would just love to eat.

He looks like a fine little puppy ;) and that first picture seems to say "I'll do this just for you" :)

He may 'look' scary but he's actually quite the sissy. He's rather shy and doesn't know the meaning of the word 'viscious'. If anything, he'll just sniff you and poke you with his cold, wet nose. He's shy around people but not aggressive at all towards people or animals.

Yeah the photo did get a bit of PS treatment in some areas to remove some elements that were distracting.

Yeah, he is a bit finicky at times, but then again I'm comparing him to my husky/shephard mix who will eat everything and anything in sight, including napkins. He does like to eat/chew strange things. Among the wierder items he's chewed are cactus, beer cans, plastic flower pots, and plant roots. Surprisingly he can chew the craziest of things and not injure himself, although I always take away any 'unsuitable' goodies he may have stolen. He eats dog food though, and loves it. His odd habits center more around what he chews rather than what he eats ;)
