I love these but I am a little bias since I have a high wolf content hybrid. Arctic wolf and alaskan husky. Very large and pure white, and you are right they are wonderful companions. I have always described him as polite and respectful compared to a dog.

Do you have any photos? He sounds gorgeous (and yeah, my Buddy is the same way, very polite and sweet)

Great idea and I like the eye contact and your choice of tones here too.

Cheers from down under, John

I have a picture from when he was much younger taken with a crappy camera but I will try and post it when I get home. I should say had him, unfortunitly I was forced to move, being in the military, and the new yard was as large as the old one but had a privacy fence instead of chainlink. He had never tried to leave the yard before, unless I let him out. After a few weeks I guess he got a little curious and made his way out of the yard via a very large hole dug under the elctric wire and under the line of concrete that ran under ground the length of the fence(he really wanted out). He was attacked by a little Chiwawa which he of course he killed after it tried attacking him. The county took him and wanted to put him to sleep. After a lot of fighting the State tried to put him in a wildlife preserve up north but the county would not release him. Sadly he was put to sleep. I will not own another one untill I am out of the military and going to be living in one place for atleast 10-20years. I had him for 4years and he was the best animal I have ever owned and a good friend.

:( I'm so sorry to hear that. That's always been my fear too, that Buddy would get out and get into trouble and end up confiscated and euthanized. It's sad that they treat hybrids that way. Thankfully Buddy is actually scared of the big world outside of our fencing, so he stays put. Besides, he has a companion (Kip) and he's well fed and cared for, so he has no reason to leave. He's more interested in sneaking into the house when no one's looking rather than sneaking out of the yard.

Beautiful animal! A very good friend of mine has a Wolf Hybrid as well (actually 2 of them). One is a Grey Wolf + Malamute mix (85/15 I think) the other is a Grey Wolf + Shepard Mix (90/10). They are both beautiful and loving animals. The Grey + Malamute is my bud, he loves to carry on and play.

Edit: A shot of Dakota (Grey + Malamute)

excuse the picture it was taken with an old crappy camera. This is when he was a pup before he became a mass of muscle and long beautiful fur.
