We all had a bit of a photo shoot yesterday. I was shooting in midday sun - yes I know big no no but the dog's were in the right mood!

Hi T1662, Your babies are beautiful, All are nice shots but I like #3. It's like he is saying something with that eye. And cool that I can see you sitting on a step in the reflection in his eye.

I think #'s 2 and 3 are a little too closely cropped for my taste. However, I think you got the focus good and sharp on the left eye in #2. In #3, it's not quite as certain where the plane of focus is.

My favorite image is #1 - it's a beauty!
On that shot, the lighting, the exposure, the DOF, the interest subject and the crop all combine to give a very nice image with good depth and 3-dimensionality.

Would it be a fair guess that you were using the longer lens in all 3 shots?

Yes Bob I was. I haven't had it long so was having a practice run with it.

Thanks for your comments.
