It was my niece's 4th Birthday today and the look on her face when the big ole knife was brought out was priceless. She had this scared look on her face.

I am a very new person to photography and it is sucking me in. I shot this with my A620. It was a step into photography with some manual controls without breaking the bank just yet. I did a small amount of PP in photoshop like unsharp mask. But that's it.

I have to say this photography stuff is starting to grow on me and I just want to learn a bit more before I step up in the equipment department.

Here's the photo. Throw all the C&C at me to help me out.

For shooting with a P&S it's a very good shot. She is in sharp focus. The knife has motion blur due to 1/13 shutter speed and OOF due to f/3.5. Your exif doesn't give iso due to automatic mode, but I'd guess iso50 or maybe iso100. In manual mode you can set shutter speed and stay within your max flash speed. You captured a very cute in the moment expression.

Thanks for the comment. I am just now starting to venture into the relm of manual mode on the camera. ISO was 200 on this shot.
