I was off work yesterday, so I headed North a little bit to the Pawnee National Grasslands. My first visit to this area, I did not know what to expect. There were quite a few birds out, I watched a Golden Eagle hunt down a rabbit:shock:. The wind was blowing pretty hard too, probably would have been more birds out if not for that. Here are a couple of scenic shots -- looks like I have some dust on my sensor.

Three very different, yet very good photographs. The windmill sunset is the winner for me, but all three are great.

What filters, if any, did you use? I like the third.

MarkoPolo and I had a visit there last summer. It is a great place and you got some good shots of it. I especially like the windmill. I took a shot of it, also, but well before sunset. I like yours much better.

I like #2 & #3 a lot, great colours and compositions....#1 looks a little on the flat side, particularly when compared to the other two.

Thanks for the compliments! I used a polarizer on the 1st shot, no filters on the others. #1 was taken about 2 PM, hence the flat light, I just could not resist taking it with the road winding towards the horizon and the nice sky.

I will go back in the next few weeks, it is only a couple of hours from my house. It should be a little greener then, and maybe I will luck out with some nice clouds from the spring storms. Anybody want to go with me?

Shaun

Lovely shots Shaun :)

As everyone says the 2nd and 3rd shots are great, the 1st one needs a little bit more points of interest :)

#2 and #3 - I really like both of them! The long shadows in #2 are great, and the sunset is beautiful in #3. dont' see any evidence of sensor dust!
