From a portait session today with this couple.

Used my 5D and 24-70 with a 580EX on the camera, bounced. 420EX slaved, on a light stand.

The pose isn't 100% what I was looking for, but I couldn't quite put my finger on what to do to correct it. Not to say I'm not happy with it. Anyway, critiques and comments and greatly appreciated! (I'm learning, so let me know what to look for next time)

Nice shot. Exposure, contrast, all look good. I especially love the soft glow the picture has. Personally I think the pose looks pretty good, the only suggestion I have for a pose, which you said you had a hard time getting correct, is to have the woman's eyes directed toward the man. Not necessarily turn her whole head sideways, but just have her looking at the man. Do you have any other you'd like to share?, I would like to see more.

Bryan Cole - Canon 20D w/Grip

34-105mm f/4L
10-24mm
...and a whole galaxy of multi-colored upers, downers, screamers, laughers...

I played around with it. I thought he was off center, which threw my eyes for a loop. My next thought was a beauty shot, close and tight. Again, jsut a prefrance.

Thanks Bryan. We shot a few with her looking at him and a few with him looking at her. This is the only one I've processed so far. (I shoot RAW only) When I get done processing the rest I'll post a few more on here. Thanks again!

I like the tighter crop you did. We'll probably reshoot it with a few more ideas, so I'll try framing a little tighter, if we do. Thanks!
