These pesky rabbits drive my wife crazy as they do a lot of damage to our garden, especially in the winter months. I should probably be shooting them with something other than a camera but instead I lattice about 25 shrubs and trees every winter. Once the snow gets high enough they get at the tops of the bushes but its better then having them prune them right to the ground. They usually lay off in the Spring so the lattice just came down. These guys really are all eyes and ears and they also use their color for camouflage. The one in the first 2 shots is the bigger of the two.
In all shots they are ready to blast off in a microsecond and they are fast when they think there is danger. The second shot shows the peripheral vision they have with those eyes bulging out the sides of the head ( and yeah...he is chewing on something from the garden in this shot
)

I own two pet house rabbits so I'm partial, they really are a lot more intelligent than people give them credit for. How did you get so close in the third??
