30D & Bigma

Canon 30D and Sigma 50-500 @500m taken today in low light. 100% crop no usm just a little levels and crop for web.

I upgraded a couple weeks ago from the 10D and pleased with results so far, just need some good light and subject. The above is a wood pigeon for those that don't know.

80D 40D 30D 10D 550EX 50 F1.8 mk1 20-35 F2.8L 24-105f4L 24-70 F 2.8 70-200F 2.8 50-500 28-200 and a load of other lenses and gear

nice details in the feather

were you on a tripod.

I know what you mean by needing some good light for the bigma. Its a light thirst lens.

Thanks yes I used a tripod and shot this out of the bedroom window.Light was very poor grey overcast with lite breeze thats why the feathers are ruffled up.

I enjoyed my Bigma and the problem in the UK is always having the light to allow it to deliver its best at around f8. The 30D and Bigma is probably a great combination. I'm considering getting another next year unless something else comes along.
