CF downloading

In short of buying a new laptop for DLing my CF cards (5 256 CF cards) during wedding/photo shoots- what is the best way aside from buying new laptop to DL these CF crds?
Does anyone have any ideas?
Is there some way to store my photos while on location so that I can use my CF cards again?

Although it's still expensive (around $500), the new 'FlashTrax' 30GB digital storage device looks relatively easy to use and is small enough to just about fit in your pocket.
