Well technically standard is also a pictures style and just for the record I also shoot RAW, so you are not alone ;)

One of the great things about picture styles is that you can also change it in PP.

Is it me or is the link the same? The 30D wasn't listed last night - I swear it wasn't.

Downloaded it but haven't installed it yet.

They are also downloadable for the 30D.

Can you 'un-picture style' them at post-processing? I like to keep my RAW shots raw. I hardly ever use Picture Styles prefering to go the PP route with photoshop et al.

I was only able to upload 3 of them, didn't have another slot for the forth. Am I missing something here?

Does each of the new styles get added individually or do they take up one of the 3 USER DEFINED avail settings.

If they replace the 3 avail USER DEFINED settings - how do you add all 4 without deleting one of the preset factory settings (eg. standard, monochrome, landscape, faithful etc.) ?

Here is a good link for the page cali was trying to get you to, http://photoworkshop.com/canon/picturestyle/index.html (external link). It does talk about adding picture styles to other files shot in Raw with other cameras, but you have to do it using DPP not actually in the camera.

You can download PS to Canon's RAW-editor (Digital Photo Professional) and I believe that's what the comment refers to. You can add PS to any RAW-file opened with Canons software.

OK...maybe I am an idiot, but when I load them, all of the various styles show the same settings...they all have a sharpness of 3 with the rest set to 0. Am I doing something wrong?

Thanks,
XCaddis

I downloaded the four picture styles from Canon a few weeks ago:

Clear, Emerald, Nostalgia, and Twilight.

They can be accessed in DPP when in View/Tool Palette. Just click on "Browse" to the right of the current Picture Style. Only one can be put into the DPP menu at once.

Unfortunately the settings for Sharpness, Contrast, Saturation, and Colour Tone can't be determined in DPP. Now if someone can figure out the four numbers, they can post them and any three can be added to our cameras under Picture Styles.

The various styles all show the same values for Sharpness, Contrast, and Colour Tone in DPP, but the colours change with each one selected.

I played with them a bit, but reverted to Landscape as my standard in-camera setting; I feel that I can get more from the RAW file in DPP using RAW or RGB Image Adjustment.

When did voluptuous become voluminous?
