These are my first non-Philippine birds.

I went over to nearby Singapore a couple of days ago to try out a 500 f4 L IS (not stocked in Manila), and these male and female OBS at the Yishun area made themselves available as test subjects....;)

Male OBS, 20D + 500 f4 L IS, 1/200 sec, ISO 800, f4, hand held, manual exposure

Female OBS, 20D + 500 f4 L IS, 1/800 sec, ISO 400, f4, hand held, manual exposure

Wow! What a great pose. This image is perfect in sharpness and bokeh, but you probably already knew that. ;-)a

The female image was broken.

WOW! Very sharp, nice colors and contrast. The lens looks like a keeper. Nice job Romy.

Thanks, guys.

Yes, I was awed enough with the lens' handling and performance to buy it.

Hey Romy, great pics here from colour and contrast to composition. I'd love to one day go to the philippines and take some bird pics. Haven't been back home yet...one day!

How in the world do you get such sharp pics hand held? I can't seem to get them that sharp with a tri-pod. Awsome shots by the way.

Thanks, FT... I guess being used to the weight of the Sigmonster makes hand holding the 500 f4 L IS more manageable... ;)
