This was one of my early digital photos.

Shot with G2, auto, natural light, leaf intentionally placed.

Tear it apart, I learn quickly from mistakes :)

Ver pretty!
I like the colors, the lighting and the color balance and exposure seem to be correct.
The problem is in the composition - it's too centered, both vertically and horizontally.
If there were any way to center the leaf at a point one third in from the bottom and one third in from the left, that would improve the composition. I also do not like the framing. The best framing in the world cannot improve a bad picture, but an off frame can ruin an otherwise good picture. The problem with this frame is that the shadow to the right just gives the impression of a lot of fuzziness at that end.
My crop below illustrates the re-positioning. I fully acknowledge that now we have a rather negative space at the right hand side, however, I would still recommend, in general, not centering your subject.
