Is anyone using SuperJPG http://www.midnightblue.com (external link) for management of their photo collection?

I love the key cross-indexing system this thumbnailer program uses, but I'm a little concerned that no be else seems to have heard of this program. Is it a problem program that breaks with large collections, or is it just not so easy for people to find? I don't really remember how I found it. I see no mention of it in this forum and I received zero responses about it when I asked on one of the *photo* NNTP newsgroups.

I'm about at the end of the trial period on SuperJPG and I'm trying to decide about registering it. I really haven't found anything NOT to like about this program. What it doesn't do natively, it easily supports with it's right-click "Send To" functionality (I currently "send to" Paint Shop Pro, PhotoShop LE, and IrfanView). I only have a few hundred photos put into the program and I'm wondering if anyone has any comments on how well the key cross-indexing system works with larger photo collections.

Thanks

It would be helpful, perhaps, if posts were yellowed past a certain age, in different levels of yellow for different ages, for an obvious indication of time relevance. Most of us do not look at dates on posts automatically before reading them, because most posts that people see are very recent, unless they consciously started reading an old thread.

100% agree that something is needed. A suggested alternative to your thoughts; perhaps make the date of a post in bold black text, if relatively current, as opposed to the subtle grey. If the original post is more than 3 years old, make the date bold yellow; if more than 5 years old, make it bold red.

Come on, zombies are interesting. :) I wonder if the OP got an email telling them someone responded to their 19 year old thread. :):)

Not sure why, but call me JJ.

I find it amazing that someone is still using a piece of software that is 19 years old and hasn't been supported for 16 years.

Makes me want to know more about it, and why it's so good.

It doesn't help that when some spam gets posted in a really old thread, since it then brings the post to the top of the posting list, even after the spam as been deleted.
