Very interesting pattern. The problem is in isolating from the distractions - very simple to crop away everything in the upper portion that you don't feel is contributing to the pattern.
Very nice exposure and excellent lighting.

Yes ... IMHO ... yes
As Robert intimated, if you go "pattern" go pattern !
(I might even go so far as to get rid of the small amount of garbage in the lower right.)
You did a great job holding the highlight and shadow detail!!
