Attempted to get out new Quad G5 delivered overnight.
Well the nimrod driver decided to deliver it to the wrong address, AND LEFT IT "IN FRON OF THE DOOR"!    WITHOUT A SIGNATURE!!!!
That was yesterday.
Demand that FedEx get a signature before leaving your package anywhere. And reiterate this to whom ever you speak to at Apple, if you use FedEx for delivery.

Still don't know where our computer is and am getting the run around from FedEx.

Someone is going to loose their job on this one.

I hope Your issue is solved faster.

yeah... fexEx doesn't require sigs anymore by default like they used to. I think they had too many people complain, so now you ya' gotta' request it. Best of luck getting your machine!!!

when i ship out fed ex there is a little box down in the corner your supposed to check off if you want it left with no sig. Call them and scream... and call Apple and tell them that you want proof of delivery before you pay one thin dime.. if all else fails, call your credit card co. and tell them what happened and that they should not let the sale go through.
good luck!

Spoke with Apple.
They say they require signatures for all of their packages. And I know I did nopt check a box for unsigned delivery.
Then I spoke with FedEx again, supervisor this time...
I didn't loose my cool, but they know that they better stay away from the fan because they will catch the spray as a $!@%^&$%-storm rains down on them if I don't get my package by this evening.

I am very surprised because I always get into a fight for FedEx to leave it at my door, even with a signature.

i hate Fedex. Personally for me.. the best route has been.. I bought a P.O.Box for like $40 or $50 a year. Get my packages delivered USPS 2 day priorty (cheap) to my POBox.. the post office is open 24/7.. so after work or if i wake up realy early. i just go check my little mailbox.. if i have a package they have a 'locker key'.. i take that locker key.. go to the locker... open up the locker.. getmy package.. key stays jammed in the lock.. they take the key out. And if it requires signature, they leave the slip inside my PO.Box and i just sign it and show it to someone so they can get my package.. so far so good. And I don't have to 'wait for delivery'.. cause if it's at the post office.. it'll be there at 8am when they open up.. dont gottay stay home all day for it.

Did I ever tell the story of my son sending his desktop CPU and separately, his monitor via FED EX ground home from college because he's poor. The $1000 CPU was "lost" and we got the other box all safe and sound (monitor, keyboard). So, he insured it for only $500, being poor. They were happy to give us the check for it, but in the meantime he lost 10,000 MP3's he had collected over his 10 years of Japanese cartoon music. He was devastated.

I had a good slander/venting session with our UPS driver this afternoon, he delivered the Eizo monitor that is going with the G5 :D
UPS has never let us down. Will be using UPS every chance I get from now on.
