geez... that sucks. UPS wont leave me a filter without a signiture. Man that really sucks. glad it all worked out

LOL, that's funny, they left a lens on the front porch even when I told the company that I ordered from to note on the package to deliver to the side porch and get a sig. All info was on the box, driver just couldn't be bothered with it. Spoke with the usual driver and he said he was on vacation, I haven't seen the replacement driver since.

Once at work a girl signed for a package that wasnt ours. I called fed ex and they said to just sit it outside the door and they would pick it up. It was pouring rain out so I didnt put it outside. They came 3 days later for it. Good thing I didnt put it back out in the rain.

I would rather deal with USPS than FedEx or UPS. I never have lost package or damage from the postman.

I've had bad luck with just about all of them at one time or another, it's all about how long it takes to get resolution.

Thanks for looking!

I'm beginning to find out it is good to become "friends" with the person who supervises routes for FedEx and UPS.
Spoke with the gentleman in charge of the Tahoe area for FedEx. Explained my situ and he actually remembered us from 3 years ago, after some memmory jogging, and the hell we went through trying to get a package delivered.

Anyway, we have a working relationship now, so I know who to speak to to get things resolved fast.

The problem w/ these drivers is that THEY SIMPLY DO NOT CARE! (OR they are just really stupid and don't bother to read instructions) I too have had issues w/ both...which is why i ALWAYS have expensive orders shipped to my office! Maybe this is not going to come off very nice...but well there's a reason they are working at UPS or FEDEX - not smart enough...i'm not one for stereotyping...but it's been in my experience that most of these drivers aren't too smart....

I always use USPS whenever possible. Small packages can just fit in the locked mailbox.
I ordered a cf card from b+h and they shipped it in a giant box instead of a small vhs box or something similar. I had to go to the PO but at least I got it.

DHL left PS CS2 at my door and it sprouted legs and walked off. Man was I pissed. They ended up paying for it but it took a week to get another.

Thats the key , as said above most drivers dont give 2 ****s! our company was using UPS to send out money to customers, - $5k plus checks next day delivery and UPS was required to get signatures - on more then 1 occasion they delivered the certified bank draft's to the wrong address AND got no signature.

I will go with FedEx over UPS anyday and DONT even get me started on DHL!

Thats really odd. Here in the UK, the Royal Mail always requires signatures for things that are sent requiring signatures, and if the parcel doesn't fit through the mail box (and doesn't need a signature) they take it back to the depot and you call to get it re-delivered or pick it up.

That is scary. Surely if it get's stolen from outside your door and they have no sig. You can't be held responsible, please tell me I'm wrong.
I had some wine stolen that was left outside and they sent me another case, can't remember the courier tho'

CRAP! Now Fedex does that to me today! My monitor is shown as delivered on April, 27, 12:26pm. but where? Not in front of my door, not in the apartment office. As a matter of fact, it's not in all three apartment offices that i went to on the same street. Yes, i checked every single apartment office that i could find on freakin North Hills Dr, Austin! FedEx you son of a biatch! Arrrgggggghhhhh!

WHY? WHY? Why FedEx likes to screw up people's package? &#$%RX

Unbelieveable! I don't understand why they do that. How do they know no one at home if they don't knock the door?
