Thanks for the reply...talking about the first picture, I think it's good with the exception of the shadow on the bottom.
What is a good setting to reduce shadows?
It was hard for me to get the cat because she was sitting in direct sunlight, so the shadow came out dark.

I would give you some tips except I recently got my S2 IS, what kind of camera do you have?

Those little beasts just stole my heart :D
I just love cats and these two look awesome, specially the blue-eyed one...

First cat seems to be a little annoyed: "don't bother me" and second is just curious: "hey, is that just a new camera or are you gonna feed me?"

More of these, please :)

I love this shot and think the shadow adds to the picture. As we all know, cats love to lay in the sun and you've captured the highlights (with no blow out). I wouldn't change a thing.
